About The Position

Requirements

  • A minimum of a master's degree in the specified discipline(s), with enrollment in a doctoral program for fields in which the doctoral degree is the terminal degree.
  • Demonstrated interest in a faculty position that prioritizes teaching and emphasizes teaching excellence.
  • A plan for scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research in the specified discipline(s).
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal) to communicate with a variety of persons and groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with students and colleagues who are culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse.
  • Specific Technical, Computer, and/or Software skills (as needed).

Nice To Haves

  • An earned PhD. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in Cybersecurity and AI.
  • Ability and willingness to teach one or more graduate level courses.
  • Ability to develop and start a successful applied research program in cutting edge areas of cybersecurity, cyber operations, and AI.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness teaching at a post-secondary level.
  • Experience developing course curricula at a post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated contributions to assessment of student learning at a post-secondary institution.
  • Professional development and/or expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, anti-racist pedagogy, and/or universal design.
  • Experience as an academic advisor for students at a post-secondary institution.

  • Teach Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence courses effectively to a diverse student population.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, creative achievement, and/or research.
  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study.
  • Contribute to student growth and development through advising and assistance.
  • Engage in service to the university and community.
  • Deliver a student-centered education that supports equitable outcomes for all students.
  • Provide excellent learning environments through in-person, online, and/or hybrid course modalities.
