About The Position

The Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to begin September 1, 2025 in our growing Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Health Care Emphasis) Program. The positions are located in the University's New York City campus in lower Manhattan. Teaching responsibilities will center primarily on courses in the Ph.D. program, with opportunities to be involved in the other departmental graduate programs and at the undergraduate level. Candidates with teaching or clinical experience in assessment and neuroscience/neuropsychology are preferred. The positions also require a demonstrated ability to develop a strong scholarship program that involves students with the potential for grant funding. Research interests within Clinical Health Psychology are particularly desirable and include but are not limited to: disease or condition-specific contexts, health systems, biological bases of health and behavior, critical health psychology (e.g., health, healthcare, and illness experiences among members of marginalized communities; sociocultural determinants of health and health disparities); health risks and behaviors; and health screening, prevention, and promotion. Our department is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community. We seek applicants who have worked effectively with a diverse community of faculty, staff, students, and patient populations and can contribute to a climate of equity and inclusion in the Department and University across their research, teaching, and service. A commitment to ethical guidelines, social justice, equity, and supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds in professional psychology is fundamental. The PhD Program in Clinical Psychology is currently seeking American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation as a scientist-practitioner doctoral psychology program. It has completed its self-study and has been granted a site visit by the Committee on Accreditation (CoA), tentatively projected for Winter 2025. The Department of Psychology at Pace University offers six graduate programs (Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology, Ph.D. in School Psychology, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Health Care Emphasis), M.S.Ed. in School Psychology, M.S. in Clinical Psychology, M.A. in Psychology), two undergraduate programs (B.A. in Psychology and B.A. in Applied Psychology and Human Relations), and a combined B.A./M.A. program.
