About The Position

The Assistant Professor in Applied Behavior Analysis will teach courses, perform research, and fulfill the mission of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. The position involves teaching in the graduate ABA program, providing direct supervision to students completing their ABA Field Experience/Practicum, and conducting scholarly work related to ABA. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a record of scholarly productivity through peer-reviewed publications, acquisition of external funding, and presentations at various conferences. Additionally, the role includes providing service at the University, professional and community levels, developing partnerships with area ABA and public programs for student field experiences, chairing and/or serving on graduate MA and PhD committees, mentoring graduate students, and engaging in program development with faculty.

Requirements

  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a related educational discipline.
  • BCBA certified.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the ABA field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively with faculty, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction and documented evidence of online course content delivery.
  • Ability to advise students and serve on and chair graduate level committees.
  • Commitment to and potential for developing proposals for external funding.
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarly publications/research endeavors.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years' experience in the ABA field.
  • Adjunct or full-time higher education teaching experience.

Responsibilities
