The College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a board-certified Genetic Counselor to join its academic faculty. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position located in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role includes responsibilities in didactic and/or clinical instruction, student mentorship and advising, and the development of an academic portfolio in education, scholarship, and service. Academic rank, tenure-track status, and salary are commensurate with qualifications and College promotion and tenure criteria. Program Overview The Genetic Counseling Program offers a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling and enrolls one cohort of eight (8) students each fall. The program is a full-time, daytime curriculum consisting of four fall/spring semesters and one intervening summer session (58 semester credit hours). Program graduates are eligible to sit for the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification examination. Completion of the program does not guarantee certification; graduates are responsible for meeting all certification and licensure requirements.
