About The Position

The Counseling Department at Springfield College invites applications for a one-year, nine-month assistant professor appointment to provide teaching and mentorship in the Athletic Counseling Concentration, the Graduate Counseling program and in our undergraduate Psychology department. Requirements

  • Earned degree in counseling, clinical or counseling psychology with a specialty in sport or performance psychology or athletic counseling
  • Listed on the AASP Registry of Approved Mentors
  • Doctoral degree preferred, but a Master's degree will be considered
  • Clinical Licensure
  • Experience working with athletes and/or performers is highly recommended

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and mentoring fieldwork and coursework
  • Advising and mentoring students
  • Contributing to service within the department and college
  • Supporting graduate student research in Athletic Counseling
  • Teaching core counseling graduate coursework or undergraduate psychology and counseling courses
