About The Position

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is seeking a University Writing Center Director for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position, starting in August 2025. • Experience coordinating or directing a writing center.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate support for writers of all levels, including students from diverse backgrounds.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise undergraduate writing tutors.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Writing Center, including scheduling, payroll, and budgeting.
• Engage with faculty, academic departments, and university administration to enhance the Writing Center's role.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the Writing Center through assessment and data collection processes.
• Oversee the Writing Center website and strategic marketing efforts.
• Create and maintain resources for students and faculty to support writing practice and pedagogy.
