Wheaton College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Engineering with a Civil and/or Environmental specialization to begin Fall 2026. Wheaton’s engineering program has recently expanded from a 3-2/Dual Degree program to include a BS Engineering major with Mechanical, Biomedical, and Civil/Environmental concentrations. The successful candidate will teach foundational engineering courses (e.g., Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, and Engineering Graphics) and will develop new required and elective courses within the Civil/Environmental concentration. This faculty member may also teach courses for non-majors in our general education curriculum as well as seminar-style courses for majors such as an Introduction to the Profession course for first-year students or a capstone Engineering Ethics seminar.
