The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) to teach at the undergraduate level. This position involves not only teaching but also student advising, curriculum design, course assessment, and contributing to scholarship in the field of ECET. The role emphasizes engagement with institutional initiatives aimed at student success and continuous improvement in instructional practices.

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology.
  • Advise and supervise students.
  • Design curriculum and assess courses for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to scholarship within the field of ECET.
  • Provide service to the department, college, and community.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Computer Engineering/Technology, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited US university.
  • Master's degree with 5+ years of industry experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge in Electric Circuit Analysis and Design.
  • Expertise in Electronic Circuits Analysis and Design.
  • Proficiency in Digital Logic Design and VHDL programming, Microcontrollers, embedded systems, and IoT Applications.
  • Experience in Control Systems Analysis and Design and MATLAB programming.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with institutional student success initiatives.
