The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology (PPN) at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking applicants for a full-time (12-month), non-tenure track, educator faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. This faculty member will serve three programs within the College of Medicine: The Special Master’s Program in Physiology, the Applied Pharmacology & Drug Toxicology Master’s Program, and departmental teaching within the Medical Sciences Baccalaureate Program (BS). The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology (PPN) at the University of Cincinnati has a dual mission of research and education, each being fundamentally served by the other. As a member of the PPN department the candidate’s role will include serving as course director and instructor for Physiology courses along with courses designed to train students in integrating and applying scientific knowledge by critically evaluating scientific literature, interpreting data, and effectively communicating scientific outcomes through oral and written communication. However, teaching experience and expertise in Physiology and Organ Systems Physiology is especially valuable, since the majority of the teaching will be in these disciplines. The candidate will work closely with academic directors and associate directors in ongoing curriculum and program development, while also supporting PPN graduate students as an educational resource and advisor.
