About The Position
Duties include, but are not limited to: teaching design/technical theatre classes, theatre appreciation, makeup, advanced makeup, basic sewing for stagecraft class, supervision of the shop manager and work-study students, as well as designing costumes and mentoring student designers for departmental productions.
Requirements
- Terminal degree/MFA in Costume Design or an MFA in Design with an emphasis on Costume Design
- Proven experience in undergraduate teaching
- costume construction, including period construction
- makeup
- wig/hair
- wardrobe
Nice To Haves
- additional expertise in other areas of theatre/entertainment design
- experience in mentoring student designers is desired
- knowledge of online course delivery is desired
