About The Position

The Department of Women & Gender Studies at the University of Delaware is seeking an Assistant Professor (Continuing Track) to focus on Sexuality & Gender Studies. Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field with a demonstrated track record of college or university level teaching.
• Interdisciplinary teaching experience grounded in American cultural studies, the humanities, and queer theory.
• Expertise in sexual geography and the intersection of sexuality and space.
• Experience with LGBTQ+ representation in contemporary and digital cultures.
• Proven outstanding teaching experience across various instructional modes (on-campus, blended, hybrid, fully digital).

Responsibilities

• Teach a 3/3 course load in Sexuality & Gender Studies and Women & Gender Studies.
• Develop innovative instructional programs and contribute to core courses in the Sexualities & Gender Studies minor.
• Support the foundational Women & Gender Studies major requirements.
• Attract future majors and cultivate non-traditional students through various programs.
• Engage in scholarship that advances pedagogy in sexuality and gender studies.
• Participate in departmental service and shared governance.
