About The Position

The Engineering Sciences department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track position as an Assistant Professor, Construction, Civil & Geoscience Engineering and Civil Engineering Technology. The anticipated start date is January 5, 2026. Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A strong record of research with a focus on Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and/or Geological Engineering.
• A commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship.
• Proficiency in Geological Engineering, including relevant coursework or experience including Structural Geology, and Geotechnical Engineering.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Professional licensure in Civil Engineering (PE) and/or Geology (PG).
• Substantial industry experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
• Success in securing external research funding.
• A history of interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Experience with online and hybrid teaching.
