DeVry University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor in the Computer Science domain to support students enrolled in the dual degree program at the DeVry University Advantage Academy. This innovative two-year program is designed for students entering their junior year, allowing them to graduate with both a Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high school diploma and an associate degree from DeVry University. The role is hybrid, requiring the faculty member to deliver courses across multiple learning modalities, including on-site instruction during the day for dual degree students and evening classes for traditional DeVry University students across the Chicagoland campuses. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for course delivery, which includes teaching 12 to 15 classes over five sessions, totaling 45 to 48 credit hours. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will engage in advising and mentoring students, providing mentorship to visiting faculty, and supporting various university initiatives. The role also emphasizes engagement in scholarly activities and professional development, ensuring that faculty members remain current in their field and contribute to the academic community.
