The incumbent must be able to teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, develop an active research program supported by external funding sources, be a mentor to students, and be an active member of the department, contributing to its success and the mission of the university. Candidates will find the department a stimulating environment conducive to professional growth and interdisciplinary collaborative research. Primary responsibilities include teaching three courses each fall and spring semester, conducting research, mentoring students in the department, and performing service activities that contribute to the success of the department and the mission of the university. The incumbent will be expected to teach in core areas of computer science, including but not limited to computer programming, data structures, database systems, operating systems & networks, software engineering, or artificial intelligence in both face-to-face and online learning environments.
