About The Position

Come join a vibrant and affable group of faculty in the Department of Computer Science & Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's College of Science and Health. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about teaching and is committed to fostering a forward-thinking curriculum that will prepare students for an ever-evolving discipline. You'll be responsible for teaching a variety of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, building and maintaining an active research program, advising students, and engaging in professional service. Exceptional candidates in all areas of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related fields will be considered, with a preference for candidates having expertise in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Requirements

• Earned Doctorate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or closely related field)
• Evidence of ability to be an effective instructor

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related fields
• Strong scholarship record

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses
• Advising students
• Maintaining an active research program
• Evaluating students' work and assessing student outcomes
• Maintaining appropriate records and holding office hours
• Providing service to the department, college, and university
• Engaging in community and/or professional service
