Anderson University and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month position in Communication beginning in August 2026. A master's degree in communication or a closely related field is required; a doctoral degree is preferred, and experience teaching at the undergraduate level is highly valued. Faculty rank and status (tenure track or professional path) will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator who can engage the students in our Communication major, one of AU's largest and most dynamic programs. The position involves teaching classes in our Public Relations concentration such as Principles of PR, Crisis Management, Event Planning, and PR Campaigns. The ability to teach social media or influencer-relations courses is desirable and would enhance the candidate's application. The department values innovative teaching, and the successful candidate will have opportunities to advise students and contribute to the department's growth.
