About The Position

AUM College of Nursing and Health Sciences department of Communication Disorders is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track faculty position. This position will be supporting a graduate program in speech-language pathology, that is currently seeking candidacy with an anticipated enrollment date of 2025. Doctorate degree required. Recent clinical experience and teaching experience desired. This individual in this position reports to the Department Chair of Communication Disorders (CMDS).

Requirements

  • Earned research doctorate degree in Speech Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Science, or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA and eligibility to be a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Alabama required
  • Doctorate degree conferred by date of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Recent clinical experience with teaching experience at the graduate level preferred

Responsibilities

  • Classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate program in accordance with the needs of the department
  • Developing and maintaining a program of research in the candidate's area of expertise
  • Participation in clinical, departmental, and university service
  • Demonstrated ability and potential for professional growth
