About The Position

The School of Health Professions and Sciences - Clinical Affairs at LSU Health Sciences-Shreveport is accepting applications for a Speech and Language Pathology Clinician. This is a full-time (12-month) clinical track faculty position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: clinical evaluation and intervention of adult population with various communication and language disorders, multidisciplinary collaboration with PT and OT to ensure highest standard of care for adults with neurologic dysfunction. Opportunities exist for clinical supervision of Speech-Language Pathology students, research, and additional institutional and community service. Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur that customer satisfaction is met at all times.

Requirements

• A Master's degree from an accredited university in Speech and Language Pathology
• Licensed or Eligibility for Louisiana Licensure in Louisiana by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology

Responsibilities

• Clinical care in the Rehabilitation Faculty clinic to include evaluation, assessment, and intervention for patients with various neurologic diagnoses
• Maintain compliant and timely documentation
• Serve as clinical instructor to SLP students
• SHPS Committee involvement to uphold school and institution mission and values
• Multidisciplinary research collaboration
• Opportunities for guest lectures in a field of expertise in the neurologic residency and/or DPT program depending on qualifications
