Clinical Psychology, Assistant-level (tenure-track): Outstanding candidates in clinical psychology are invited to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level that will begin in August 2026. This position is expected to contribute to the department's anticipated Clinical Psychology PhD program (estimated start date in Fall 2026 or Fall 2027, pending approvals). Areas of specialty are open, but there is a strong preference for candidates with a thorough background in empirically supported assessment and treatment. We would welcome a new colleague who can collaborate within current departmental areas of strength, including but not limited to traumatic stress, assessment, forensic psychology, military health, substance misuse, suicide prevention, couple and family relationships, cognition, and health, as well as someone who can expand our expertise and training opportunities into new areas. Candidates, regardless of research emphasis, should be able to teach courses within the core areas of the Clinical Psychology curriculum (e.g., clinical interviewing/assessment, empirically supported interventions, ethics, psychopathology). Preferred candidates will bridge or buttress undergraduate and non-clinical graduate programs to meet departmental needs (e.g., clinical psychologist with expertise in biopsychology/physiological psychology, developmental/lifespan psychology, social psychology, personality psychology, research methods, statistics). The Department of Psychology fosters an excellent research and mentoring environment for faculty. Salary and start-up packages for the position are highly competitive.
