About The Position

The Department of Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants should hold an earned Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered with evidence of a scheduled doctoral defense that occurs no later than May prior to a Fall appointment. The position begins August 2026. This position will focus on teaching and mentoring in the undergraduate B.S. in Psychology program, particularly within the new Mental Health concentration. The successful candidate will teach clinically oriented undergraduate courses in a 4/4 annual teaching load, develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, supervise undergraduate research projects, conduct academic advising, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. While online teaching opportunities may be available, the primary focus of this position is expanding our in-person clinical course offerings and providing on-campus mentorship for students pursuing mental health careers or graduate study. The University places a high priority on being leaders in the responsible use of artificial intelligence and in building such capacity in our students. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of artificial intelligence pertinent to the discipline and/or a willingness to pursue professional development to acquire such expertise.

Requirements
