There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
The American Psychological Association-accredited Clinical Psychology Program in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at UMass Amherst invites applications for two tenure-track, academic year, Assistant Professor faculty positions starting in fall 2025. We seek outstanding and innovative scientists with an established record of success and a research program that has the potential to address major issues in the field of mental health. The applicant should be able to teach courses relevant to clinical psychology, including practicum supervision (which will involve clinical licensure in Massachusetts, expected within 3 years). We recognize that high-impact research programs can take many forms, including those that have potential for sustained extramural funding, drive paradigm changes in public policy and/or discourse, and/or pioneer the study of new and important areas within clinical psychology. Applicants may possess expertise in any area of clinical psychology that complements and/or broadens existing strengths in our program and department (e.g., psychopathology, substance use disorders, psychotherapy, mental health care dissemination and implementation, clinical diversity science, neuropsychology, clinical neuroscience). We are excited to review applications from candidates who use a range of rigorous methodologies in their research—including community-based, qualitative, and/or advanced quantitative—and who are eager to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including clinical supervision. Candidates from diverse backgrounds (e.g., Black, Latinx, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+) are particularly encouraged to apply.
