About The Position

The successful candidate will be a research-oriented Neuropathologist who will provide clinical Anatomic Pathology services with a primary focus in Neuropathology and Autopsy. In addition, this faculty member will serve as Director of the Institutional Biorepository and Research Histology service. He or she will also work closely with colleagues in the Moody Brain Health Institute and the Mitchell Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases in support of the Institutional Brain Bank and interdisciplinary research programs in Neurological diseases. A strong commitment to education is expected, with responsibilities for teaching and mentoring Pathology residents, fellows, and medical students. Active participation in intra- and inter-departmental conferences will be required, as well as meaningful engagement in the advancement of scholarly activities, including research, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. The successful candidate will also contribute to the mission of the department and institution through participation in departmental and institutional committees, as well as other service and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • MD or MD, PhD.
  • Fellowship-trained and board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic and Neuropathology or equivalent experience.
