The McGill University Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and the Douglas Mental Health University Institute are currently inviting applications for a full-time position as a member of the Contract Academic Staff at the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical). This will be a three-year, renewable appointment and does not confer eligibility for tenure. The McGill University Department of Psychiatry’s mission is to support patients and their loved ones to move from mental illness to health through cutting-edge integrated care, supported by research and academic training for the next generation. Our department has a rich history of scientific innovation with sustained expertise in psychotherapy, substance abuse research, psychoneuroendocrinology, psychoimmunology, genetics, epigenetics, advanced brain imaging, and computational and digital psychiatry. It remains a global leader in integrating cutting-edge science with clinical practice to train future psychiatric researchers and clinicians. The successful candidate will be appointed to clinical practice at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute—a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
