They will maintain an open-door policy to provide mentoring and counseling to students, serving as a positive role model. The faculty member will supervise students in their individual groups, meet regularly with them to review their progress, and provide guidance on their academic journey. Responsibilities also include recording attendance, demonstrating clinical techniques chairside, and evaluating student professionalism and compliance with departmental expectations. The Preclinical Faculty will engage in didactic education, coordinate the teaching and evaluation of clinical practice management skills, and work collaboratively with other faculty members to resolve issues related to professionalism. Regular meetings with the Associate Dean and other faculty members will be essential to ensure alignment with educational goals and student success.
