Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor (Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery)
About The Position
The Department of Surgery at the School of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a faculty position in the field of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Academic rank and track will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and stature in the field. Qualified applicants must be Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent), have completed a pediatric cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at a recognized institution, and be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before start date. Clinical activities will be primarily centered at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, a full service, regional facility. Responsibilities will include providing patient care services in the public and private settings and undertaking supervision of surgery residents. Other activities will include participation in student education, resident selection and evaluation, and involvement in clinical and translational research.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent)
- Completed a pediatric cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at a recognized institution
- Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before start date
