About The Position

We seek highly motivated and qualified candidates for a full-time, faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience to join the Community Health Science & Policy Program (CHSP) in the School of Public Health (SPH). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the launch and development of our new Master of Public Health (MPH) program, with a concentration in CHSP on the Louisiana State University Baton Rouge campus.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a doctorate degree in a public health discipline.
Evidence of teaching excellence in higher education, preferably at the graduate level.

Nice To Haves

Additional experience or interest in program development is highly desirable
Expertise in innovative teaching methodologies, including online and hybrid course delivery.

Responsibilities

Assisting in developing and teaching graduate-level courses in community health, health communications, health policy, behavioral health theory, health program development and evaluation, public health project management, and more.
Contributing to the curriculum design and implementation of the MPH program
Mentoring and advising MPH students in their academic progress.
Participating in service activities at the departmental, college, and university levels
Collaborating with public health agencies and community organizations to foster practical learning experiences for students.
