About The Position

Assistant or Associate Professor, non-tenure earning clinical track position. Academic responsibilities include teaching family medicine residents and medical students, patient care and scholarly activity, and focusing on neurology in an Inpatient Medicine setting. Appointments to the faculty of The University of Alabama are based on the personnel requirements of the University's academic programs and on the goal of achieving and maintaining excellence in its teaching, research, and service/academic citizenship activities. Requirements

M.D. or D.O.
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology required
Candidates must meet Alabama medical licensure requirements and complete licensure within the state prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

Preference to candidates with both ambulatory and inpatient neurological treatment and track record of scholarship, focusing on learning and teaching in a health professions or medical school environment would be desirable.
Successful candidates will display a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to work in multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams and have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
