About The Position
The LSUHSC Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) Family Medicine physician for an academic faculty appointment with the Family Medicine Residency Program in Lake Charles, LA. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (non-tenure, clinical track) and is commensurate with physician’s credentials and experience. The ideal candidate will have previous academic experience with obstetric skills, though not required. Primary responsibilities will center on the education and development of 21 family medicine residents and medical students in an array of contexts including traditional outpatient practice and inpatient care. The department is seeking a dynamic faculty leader who will further develop and expand within the program.
