The successful candidate will be able to teach mathematics courses for general education as well as courses in the mathematics majors. This is a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position in applied mathematics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The department has courses in operations research and optimization modeling, which the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to teach. The position is based at the Stevens Point campus and involves courses primarily taught in person, but there is a possibility of teaching assignments at the Wausau campus or Marshfield campus, and of online or hybrid courses. An appropriate terminal degree, m aintaining an active research agenda and providing leadership and service to the university, community, and profession are required for tenure.
