About The Position
The Department of Agricultural Science, Agricultural Business, and Dairy Science at SUNY Morrisville is seeking a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Animal Science, with an anticipated start date in Fall 2025. This position is designed for candidates who are pending completion of their Master's or PhD degrees. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching established lecture and applied lab courses at both the Associate and Baccalaureate levels, contributing to the growth of the Agricultural Science Bachelor of Technology program. The role includes the opportunity to develop new curricula that align with industry needs and enhance the educational experience of students. In addition to classroom instruction, the Assistant Professor will play a vital role in student mentorship, providing guidance and support throughout students' educational journeys. This includes recruiting students, academic advising, career counseling, and supervising student internships. The candidate will also be expected to foster a student-centered approach that emphasizes individual growth and prepares students for success after graduation. The position requires collaboration with faculty members and industry partners to strengthen relationships and ensure that the curriculum remains relevant to current livestock industry practices. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member, eager to support the development of the next generation of agricultural professionals.
