The Assistant Professor and Program Director will facilitate learning, participate in scholarship, service, or any combination of those activities in the Teacher Education program; They may also lead webinars, workshops and orientations, and provide educational planning services for current candidates and alumni. The Assistant Professor with the additional role of Program Director will be a faculty member who has completed a terminal degree (e.g., doctorate) in the area in which the faculty member will be teaching (i.e., Administrative Services Credential Program and Teacher Education/Clinical Practice). In the capacity of Assistant Professor, they facilitate learning, and partake in scholarship, service, or any combination of those activities. The Program Director and Assistant Professor (PD/AP), under the general direction of the Assistant Dean manages academic and program functions. The PD/AP will teach courses as needed by the department, lead and/or facilitate candidate sessions such as workshops and orientations and provide educational planning services for both new and continuing candidates. The PD/AP will assist in the development and implementation of candidate learning outcomes and unit outcomes. They will also lead and/or participate in curriculum development, staff development, and applicable university and/or program activities, The PD/AP will provide candidates with appropriate referrals to campus support services such as financial aid, Finance, Registrar, Student Services, and the Office of Accessibility. , and tutoring. The PD/AP will collaborate with various staff and departments including the Credentialing Department, Accountability and Compliance Officer, and Clinical Practice Department for maintaining program effectiveness.
