Requirements

• PhD/DNP or equivalent
• Oregon RN license
• Oregon APRN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NRP certification
• National certification as ACNM/ACC/AMCB
• A minimum of three years of full scope midwifery practice
• 3 years of clinical practice experience

Responsibilities

• Teaching in the nurse-midwifery education program (focus area)
• Clinical practice/clinical teaching in the OHSU Nurse-Midwifery Faculty Practice
• Plans and supervises student lab and/or clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignment
• Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank
• Provides effective didactic instruction based on teaching assignment using appropriate instructional technologies
• Participates collaboratively in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum
• Mentors and advises students
• Supervise students in DNP clinical inquiry projects
• Participates in faculty governance and additional engagement based on rank
• Administrative activities as negotiated
