We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an ASSISTANT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR. The Assistant Production Supervisor will supervise employees to maximize employee safety, food quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include daily safety observations, production monitoring, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Assures the correct preparation of products and finished goods. Shared responsibility for Safety training, new methods e.g. 5 S, standardize work and methods improvements. This position will require the employee to work overtime as needed. Overtime is scheduled based on individual job responsibilities and the department's needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct safety line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings Create daily and overtime schedules Delegate responsibilities to line group leaders and other employees Quality (high quality production, quality audits, clean environment) HACCP, Verification of CCPs Assist in performing new hire orientation trainings Report and review employee disciplinary issues with supervisor Sanitation and housekeeping Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years within a production environment, preferably lead experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience, preferred
- BA/BS Bi-lingual required
- Capability to prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to foster teamwork
- Good verbal & written communication skills are required
- Basic computer skills within programs such as Microsoft Office and the internet are required
Nice To Haves
- Experience within Food and beverage industry preferred
