About The Position

The Assistant - Product Development assist in managing the product development process, supporting design execution and cross-functional coordination to ensure products meet quality standards, achieve cost objectives, and are delivered on schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in merchandising or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of successful product development and/or merchandising experience, in jewelry preferably.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience in project management using project management tools, preferably Jira.
  • Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong & effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Possess excellent manual dexterity with small items.
  • Demonstrated ability to see and discern very minor details both to the naked eye and with the aid of magnification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with jewelry production and engineering preferred.
  • GIA course completion (Diamonds/Colored Stones) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to support the creation of merchandising product plans and translate the design vision into tangible products that align with company brand standards.
  • Oversee the creation, validation, and maintenance of precise product mechanicals and technical specifications ensuring adherence to company standards and operational excellence.
  • Champion process improvements and implement re-engineering initiatives that enhance efficiency, product quality, and scalability.
  • Direct the organization, tracking and quality assurance of product samples, guaranteeing timely delivery and compliance with brand expectations.
  • Manage the Jeweler's Problem Log, analyzing trends and synthesizing data to accelerate product issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Lead preparation and distribution of comprehensive Product Development meeting documentation and progress reports through Jira, enabling transparent communication and informed decision-making.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, monitor progress, and ensure all product development milestones are met within schedule and quality parameters.
