About The Position

Johns Hopkins Medicine's Digital Media Group serves as a central strategic leader in the exploration, development, execution, and analysis of a video production that connects the people of the world to the people of Johns Hopkins Medicine. Serving all aspects of the three-part mission of research, education and patient care, the team creates multi-media content across platforms and strategic need. From telecommunications to internal communications, training/education, recruitment, development, to physician referral, patient acquisition, broadcast, editorial, and social media, all combine to connect with our customers (physicians, patients, students, community, media) to meet engagement, acquisition and retention goals. Position Summary: The Assistant Producer / Videographer/ Editor will assist with the direction, production, shooting and editing of simultaneous video and multi-media productions. The position will operate on-site live-streaming equipment and maintains a streaming management portal/server, creates future livestream landing pages and organize content. This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of best practices, S.O.P. documentation and governance resources related to these live streaming processes. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, this position may also provide multimedia and production support for local marketing and communications initiatives. This may include assisting with web content updates, photography, and other related digital or communication support functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in video and/or multi-media production, communications or directly related creative field. Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted.
  • 2+ years experience as a video editor/producer.
  • Hands-on experience with professional lighting, video cameras and editing systems
