Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
  • Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves customer issues promptly.
  • Implements continuous improvement in all areas of the department.
  • Takes customer orders and determines their needs regarding size and appearance.
  • Ensures fresh quality merchandise through proper product handling techniques.
  • Helps control damages and minimize product losses according to company procedures.
  • Assists the Produce Manager in day-to-day operations such as merchandising and customer service.
  • Performs duties of Produce Manager in their absence.
  • Develops and implements merchandising plans that meet financial goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of weekly ads and specials for correct pricing and production amounts.
  • Tracks weekly sales reports and manages inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Schedules department associates and participates in training and performance recognition.
  • Utilizes the Learning Management System (LMS) for training associates.
  • Maintains backroom organization and product storage within company guidelines.
  • Oversees shelf replenishment efforts to ensure product availability for customers.
  • Checks and verifies all department deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
  • Monitors product quality and freshness, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the department according to health and OSHA requirements.
