  • Train and develop partners in conjunction with upper management.
  • Schedule, plan, assign, and direct work for the produce department.
  • Review historical data regarding sales, ads, and promotions to support upper management.
  • Co-manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
  • Review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with the department manager.
  • Maintain and improve sales performance and financial results.
  • Inspect products for quality control and food safety standards.
  • Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives and appealing displays.
  • Cut and trim products for high-quality presentation.
  • Ensure maintenance of stock conditions on display racks, tables, and shelves.
  • Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accuracy of inventory and ordering paperwork.
  • Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers and addressing complaints.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment.
  • High school diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience.
  • Food Handler certification required.
  • Manager Food Safety certification required.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required; 21 years to drive for company business.
  • Intermediate knowledge of produce department operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of in-store ordering machine and inventory management processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software systems.
  • Ability to operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment.
  • Ability to handle objects gently to avoid damage.
  • Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
