As an Assistant Produce Manager at The Fresh Market, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our produce department operates smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the Produce-Floral Manager to uphold our mission of making everyday eating extraordinary for our guests. Your responsibilities will include managing various functions and activities within the department, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and quality products. You will be an ambassador for the department, setting an example of excellence in customer service and operational standards. In this role, you will coordinate the ordering of produce items, ensuring that we maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing shrink and damage. You will greet guests with a friendly demeanor, providing them with accurate and timely information, making recommendations, and accommodating their requests. Properly receiving and stocking goods according to rotation standards will be essential to maintaining product quality and freshness. Additionally, you may assist the Assistant Floral Manager in the floral department as needed. A significant part of your role will involve engaging, motivating, coaching, and training team members both on-the-job and through The Fresh Market's internal training platform. You will be responsible for fostering a safe and secure environment for both guests and team members, ensuring that everyone adheres to safety protocols and company policies. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, as you will be expected to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays as needed.
