The Produce Department Assistant Manager assists the Produce Department Manager with ensuring the successful operation of the produce department. Duties include accurate recordkeeping, customer service, employee relations, expense control, inventory, shrink, public relations, stocking, and control freshness by rotating removing out-of-date merchandise. Responsible for directing staff when in charge of the department to include: directing workload, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision.
