The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of top-performing public charter schools in Arizona, recognized for our commitment to academic excellence, equity, and college-preparatory rigor. Our mission is to provide high-quality education to underserved communities and equip students with the knowledge, skills, and character to succeed in high school, college, and beyond. At AMS, we believe in developing strong instructional leaders who are data-driven, culturally responsive, and relentlessly focused on student achievement. This evergreen requisition allows AMS to proactively identify strong instructional leaders for Assistant Principal opportunities supporting Grades K–4 across our Tucson campuses as staffing needs arise. The Assistant Principal (Grades K–4) plays a key role in supporting academic excellence and ensuring high-quality instruction across early elementary classrooms. This leader works closely with the campus principal and academic leadership team to strengthen foundational literacy, numeracy, and instructional rigor while cultivating a positive and structured learning environment for students and staff. The Assistant Principal supports teacher growth through instructional coaching, classroom observations, professional learning communities, and data-driven decision-making to ensure all students meet or exceed grade-level expectations. This role requires a leader who is committed to developing teachers, strengthening instructional practices, and improving outcomes for all students—especially those from historically underserved communities.
