Position Overview As an Assistant Principal at Ednovate, you will be responsible for managing academics, student supports, and school culture. You will work closely with school leadership, teachers, students, families and community partners to think creatively about school design within Ednovate's core model and drive excellent results for all students. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong instructional leadership experience looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is a full-time, exempt role that reports to the Principal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, required
  • 2+ years of school leadership experience with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement, required
  • Mission-driven professional passionate about increasing college attainment for historically under-represented students

Responsibilities

  • Be an instructional leader.
  • Drive academic vision and excellence by developing and monitoring academic enrichment and intervention programs, overseeing curriculum implementation, and ensuring appropriate accommodations for special populations.
  • Lead instructional coaching and professional development by facilitating weekly professional development sessions, coordinating quarterly planning weeks, and developing teacher capacity through observation and feedback cycles.
  • Meet all school leader responsibilities, including but not limited to attending leadership meetings, leading academic teams, covering teammates in their absence, and modeling exemplary teamwork and school culture.
  • Create a caring and accountable student culture.
  • Support teachers in resolving behavioral issues and ensuring a positive learning environment in every classroom.
  • Work closely with both administrators and the school social worker to ensure that all of our students experience a caring and accountable school culture.
  • Lead on-campus community through town halls, rewards systems, managing clubs, and managing student schedules.
  • Ensure teachers build transformative relationships with students.
  • Help teachers develop student purpose through advisory, working toward various advisory-specific goals and assessing the social, emotional and mental health needs of students.
  • Improve family experience through regular communication, supporting report card pick-up and ensuring that at least 95% of parents/guardians attend their child's conference.
