About The Position

The Assistant Principal of Instruction at LEAD Public Schools will drive outstanding academic results by managing instructional managers who in turn work with teachers to strengthen instruction and ensure that they are highly effective. This includes providing leadership on all aspects of curriculum, assessment, instruction, and teacher development.  The Assistant Principal of Instruction at LEAD Public Schools desires to grow in the network and have a broader impact for the good of students and families. Motivate and inspire staff to prioritize student outcomes as the ultimate goal for all professional efforts.

Requirements

• Previous instructional leadership experience as assistant principal, dean, or team leader
• Previous experience as an instructional coach
• Experience supervising and evaluating staff and serving as a leader of teams and individuals
• At least four years of exemplary teaching are required; the ideal candidate will have closer to 7+ years of instructional experience
• Engages in difficult conversations in an effective and timely manner
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.

Nice To Haves

• A Master’s degree is preferred, but experience leading in a school and managing teams successfully is paramount.
