Achievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is seeking an Assistant Principal of ELA/Humanities for the 2024-2025 academic year. This role is pivotal in providing exemplary leadership to the school community, ensuring that all students are prepared for college through rigorous instruction and a supportive learning environment. The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principal to develop and communicate strategic school systems, culture, and vision, while also leading initiatives in Data-Driven Instruction (DDI) and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving student achievement and will be responsible for analyzing student work and data to inform instructional decisions. In this position, the Assistant Principal will assist in conducting daily teacher observations, providing real-time feedback, and ensuring that all staff deliver well-managed and rigorous lessons. The role also involves holding teachers accountable for student performance, including special education accommodations. The Assistant Principal will play a key role in fostering a joyful and rigorous school culture, collaborating with staff to support students' academic and socio-emotional development, and maintaining traditions that support the school's college mission. The Assistant Principal will also be responsible for communicating regularly with families, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they are involved in their children's education.
