About The Position

Assistant Principal of Academics (Multiple Openings) - Ensures alignment between school curriculum and the state’s accountability program; Implement MTSS process and procedures for student success; Provides results-oriented professional development according to school’s needs; Collaborate with staff to plan the school’s instructional program; Practice fair and consistent evaluations of teachers within established timelines; Provides timely communication of information with staff, parents, and students; Communicates school’s accomplishments within TMSA, with school community, and public media; Analyzes student performance data; Facilitates data and instructional focused meetings regularly with teaching staff; Effectively utilizes the latest technology to continuously improve the management of the school and enhance student instruction; Maintains acceptable student behavior in all areas of the school; Follow all Board policies; Develops the master schedule that provides collaborative planning for every teacher; Develops and enforces clear expectations, structures, rules, and procedures for students and staff; Maintain confidentiality of all student, parent, and staff information; Manage your time and that of the staff well, including running effective meetings; Promotes a sense of well-being among staff, parents, and students; Understands the important role a school’s culture contributes to the exemplary performance of the school; Designs structures and processes that result in community engagement, support, and ownership; Support and nurture a collaborative work environment for all employees; Maintains a good relationship with students, staff, and parents; Collaborate with staff to create opportunities for parents, community, and businesses to participate in the school; Actively seeks and applies feedback from staff, parents, and students; Establishes and maintains a safe environment for all staff and students; Other duties as assigned by Principal.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
