Requirements

• Master’s degree requirement.
• Valid Texas Principal certification.
• Three years exemplary teaching experience.
• Additional leadership experience on the campus or otherwise is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Principal in developing and implementing plans to increase student achievement.
• Assists the Principal in developing and implementing plans to increase attendance.
• Assists the Principal in developing and implementing plans to increase graduation rates.
• Assists the Principal in developing and implementing plans to strengthen instructional opportunities.
• Assists the Principal in providing a safe learning environment.
• Assists the Principal in providing student services.
• Complies with federal, state, and local laws and Board policies and procedures and other school district initiatives.
• Communicates, collaborates, and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders including teachers, staff, students, parents, and community partners.
• Assists the Principal in selecting and mentoring a high-quality school staff.
• Assists the Principal in teacher evaluation and development, student discipline management, supervision of extra-curricular activities, and preparation of required reporting.
