About The Position
Edmonds School District Assistant Principals work with the building administrative team to supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff; utilize the evaluation process to promote professional growth and staff development; provide educational leadership and develop, implement, and assess an effective learning program to continuously improve student performance. Assistant Principals create a positive learning environment sensitive to diverse socioeconomic and ethnic groups; promote shared decision making and teamwork; assist with the planning and supervision of activities during the school day, at night, and on weekends; supervise curriculum planning and professional development programs in the building; supervise student conduct and oversee building disciplinary procedures; implement school and District attendance policies; assist with the implementation of Federal, State and local educational reform efforts; participate in District-level decision-making and articulation activities.
