About The Position

We aren't just opening a building; we are launching a movement. As a district magnet school in APS our new Health Science High School is designed to redefine the secondary experience. In partnership with UCHealth and the Community College of Aurora, we are creating an immersive, project-based ecosystem where rigorous academics and healthcare pathways intersect.

Starting with an inaugural class of 125 ninth graders, we will grow year-over-year into a premiere health science hub. Our culture is rooted in:
Interdisciplinary Innovation: Moving beyond silos with co-taught, health-science-centered units.

Founding a school requires a different kind of energy. We are seeking "builders"—visionaries who are energized by the prospect of creating systems where none exist. As a founding staff member, you won't just work in the school; you will be the architect of it. Your fingerprint will be on every pillar of our institution, including:
Identity & Strategy: Crafting the mission, vision, values, and multi-year strategic plan.
Curriculum Design: Developing scope, sequences, and Project-Based Learning (PBL) units from scratch.
Culture Building: Co-creating the student advisory program, staff and student induction, and MTSS structures.
Community Launch: Assisting with marketing and with the recruitment and enrollment of our inaugural class.
