About The Position
The Assistant Principal position is for the 2025/2026 school year and contracts start July 1, 2025. Orchard Heights Elementary School is a child-centered, innovative school with approximately 550 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our goals within reading and mathematics address intentional, data-driven instruction to prepare our students for success. Highly committed to shared decision making, our team continually reviews data, researches best practices, and adopts strategies that ensure our students continue to learn and grow. Believing that our school climate dramatically impacts student and teacher performance, our staff focuses on Social Emotional Learning, and teaching our students to be safe, kind, and responsible throughout the day in all settings across the school. We strive to instill a sense of belonging in all members of our Shark community, through a focus on building strong positive relationships and use of restorative practices over punitive consequences.
