About The Position
The position involves working under the direction of the Principal and in collaboration with other Assistant Principals to supervise and lead an instructional staff of over 150 teachers. The primary focus is on the implementation of California Standards to provide quality work that is engaging, ensuring that students learn meaningful content and are challenged to learn more. The role also includes using a variety of assessment data for collaborative decision-making regarding instructional effectiveness, improved student performance, and helping students develop ownership for their learning. Additionally, the position supports the coordination of all state-mandated tests.
