Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education.
• Appropriate Missouri Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education.
• Pass an extensive background check and be fingerprinted.

• Strong communication skills to engage with families and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Design developmentally-appropriate classroom learning environments that promote exploration and purposeful play.
• Implement the Every Child Ready (ECR) instructional model and collaborate with the coach and/or principal to ensure fidelity.
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans reflecting the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students and curriculum goals.
• Assess student progress by recording daily anecdotal records and normed assessments to determine expected growth as stated in the curriculum goals.
• Provide early-learning experiences that contribute to children's positive feelings about school, teachers, and their communities.
• Support children's development across social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and academic competencies.
• Collaborate with families and communities to support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and share best practices with colleagues.
